CCSL CT CUP


2020 INFORMATION

The CT State Cup format is modeled after the UEFA Champions League. CCSL's goal and vision in offering such an exciting format is to elevate the level of play which will allow fair and balanced competition for all teams. Here are some of the highlights of the CT State Cup Format:

  • Two Stage Competitions (Group Stage and Single Elimination Rounds)
  • Teams will be distributed into evenly balanced brackets
  • Each team will play a minimum number of games depending upon the age group
  • Final matches will be played in June at a location to be determined
  • Gold (Top Tier) and Silver (2nd Tier) divisions will be created based on competitive level and number of registered teams
  • U11 & Older teams will qualify for Got Soccer Points
  • CT State Cup Gold Division Champions (U12-U18/19) will advance to the US Club Mid-Atlantic Regionals in late June 2020

U9-U14

  • Groups' stage games will be played in the fall on designated weekends
  • Each group will consist of 4 teams
  • Each team will play a minimum of 3 games
  • Winner of each Bracket will move directly to Round of 16 depending upon the number of teams in the Group*

U15-U18/19

  • Two Stage Competitions (Group Stage and Single Elimination Rounds)
  • Group stage games will be played in the early spring on the designated weekends
  • Each group will consist of 3 teams
  • Each team will play a minimum of 2 games
  • Winner of each Bracket will move directly to Quarter-Finals depending upon the number of teams in the Group*
